Brittney received her doctoral degree in Counseling and Supervision and her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tennessee Technological University (TTU). Brittney is currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming. Brittney is a faculty member in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Wyoming. Her educational background includes a focus on child development and humanistic counseling strategies to support children’s overall development. Brittney’s research focuses on holistic wellness related to nature connection and EcoWellness. Additionally, her main research area explores the relationship between nature contact in childhood, positive and negative experiences in childhood, and various mental health experiences. Brittney has provided mental health services as a licensed counselor in an inpatient setting, intensive outpatient program, partial hospitalization program, private practice, and university counseling center.
