Brian Powers is a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Adams State University and a licensed school counselor in Colorado. He brings more than twenty years of experience as an educator, counselor, and facilitator of social‑emotional learning programs. His teaching and counseling work in K-12 and counselor education programs have shaped his interest in effective instructional practices that support belonging. Brian’s research focuses on how counselor educators promote a sense of belonging in asynchronous learning environments. He is committed to advancing inclusive, connection‑centered practices in counselor preparation.
