Dr. Diane Stutey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She is a licensed professional counselor, licensed school counselor, registered play therapist-supervisor, and a national certified counselor. She was a school counselor in both elementary and middle schools and has worked as a play therapist in school and clinical settings. Her research interests include examining non-cognitive life stressors that impact children and adolescents in the school setting such as sibling abuse, grief and loss, suicide, and teen dating violence. She is also interested in examining the impact of preventative and creative interventions such as play therapy and canine assisted activities.
