Sojeong Nam, Ph.D., LMHC (NM), NCC, is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at The University of New Mexico. She earned her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Iowa. Her research focuses on mental health disparities, with an emphasis on suicidality, mental health literacy, stigma, and help-seeking behaviors, particularly among underserved and underrepresented populations. Sojeong currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development and the International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling.
