Dr. Rachel Ratliff is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at UCCS. A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Dr. Ratliff is an educator, practicing clinician and researcher. Dr. Ratliff's history in clinical work occurred within a hospital setting where she worked with patients 13 years of age and older with a variety of mental health concerns including suicidality, depression, anxiety, substance use, and other mental health issues that require hospitalization. Her scholarship focuses on sex positivity within counselor education programs and how to ensure that counselors are entering the field ready to address sexuality topics with their future clients. She is currently the Past Chair and Treasurer for the Western Region of the American Counseling Association.
