Jeongwoon Jeong is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education in the Department of Individual, Family, and Community Education at The University of New Mexico. He received a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and an M.A. in Educational Measurement and Statistics from The University of Iowa. He mostly worked with client populations who have depression, anxiety, and personality disorders in a variety of settings including a local mental health agency, a rehabilitation center, and an alternative high school. His scholarly work mainly focuses on addiction and mental health needs among underserved populations, multicultural and social justice counseling and counselor education, and counselor education pedagogy. He is serving as an editorial board member of the International Journal for the Advancement of Counseling and Counseling and the peer review board of the Journal of International Students.
