Monique Woodson is a second-year doctoral student from Las Vegas, NV. She is passionate about empowering future counselors and advocating for marginalized communities. With a strong background in multicultural counseling, clinical supervision, and behavioral interventions, she is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments that promote student success. Her expertise extends to research on the Strong Black Woman schema, stress, and coping among Black women, as well as factors influencing Black students’ success in counseling programs. As a mentor and leader, she strives to integrate theory into practice, ensuring that students develop the skills and confidence to excel in their careers. Through advocacy, education, and research, she is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the field of counseling and counselor education.
