Dr. White has a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. She has a strong counselor identity and has experience in the areas related to counselor education, including teaching, counseling, supervision, research, advocacy, and service to the profession. She is also a licensed professional counselor (LPC-Ohio).
She has been teaching since 2006 and has taught a variety of classes at the bachelor, master, and doctorate levels. She also enjoys being a guest speaker and presenting information at local, state, regional, and national conferences. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC Ohio), she has worked with diverse populations including people with addiction disorders, clients who have been convicted of sexual offences, and clients with a HIV+ status. She worked primarily in outpatient community mental health serving marginalized client populations.
Dr. White’s areas of expertise include counseling ethics, social justice advocacy in the counseling profession, and the use of technology in counseling.
