Dr. William B. Lane Jr. is an Assistant Professor and the Chair of the Department of Counseling at Western New Mexico University. He has a passion for building innovative counselor education curriculum. He has the Board Certified-TeleMental Health provider credential and developed the telemental health curriculum for WNMU. He has experience as a child advocate at a Child Advocacy Center, where he worked with a multidisciplinary team and provided counseling to children who experienced sexual abuse. He integrated mindfulness into his practice, integrates it into the classroom, and has authored and self-published a children’s book on mindfulness. His research interests include improving the supervisory working alliance, and he has presented on this topic at national and regional conferences. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Counselor Education & Supervision, and he is the Treasurer for the Rocky Mountain Association for Counselor Education & Supervision.
