Nancy is a doctoral candidate and adjunct instructor at Adams State University. She is also an adjunct instructor at Naropa University and a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. Her clinical specialization is the treatment of anxiety, stress, and trauma. Her clinical approach integrates third-wave cognitive-behavioral therapies, contemplative psychology, and multicultural frameworks. She has a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Denver, a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Chicago, a diploma in Compassion Focused Therapy from the United Kingdom, and compassion certifications from Stanford University and the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Her clinical, academic, and community work reflect her values of compassion and cultural humility. Nancy is a frequent presenter, published author, and recipient of the 2024 National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Doctoral Fellowship.
