Julie Silipo is a Clinical Faculty Professor of Counselor Educator at the Adams State University. In addition to being a counselor educator since 2021, Silipo has worked as a high school counselor for 15 years within urban school districts in Colorado. Silipo’s dissertation focused on school counselor professional identity and competency attainment. Her research interests have continued in the area of School Counselor Professional Identity and School Counselor Training. Silipo has served as a site supervisor to multiple school counselors in training and continually seeks to bridge the gaps between training and professional practice.
