Ken Roach is a Counselor Educator with more than 26 years of experience in the practice of clinical mental health counseling, and more than 22 years as full- and part-time faculty at three different universities. Dr. Roach’s education duties have involved program administration, curriculum development, and instruction and supervision of clinical mental health counseling graduate students. Clinical practice has included individual, family, and group counseling with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of psychiatric disorders in a range of settings (private practice, community mental health, intensive in-home services, and in-patient psychiatry); populations have included ethnic minority and underserved families, adult and adolescent survivors of sexual violence, LGBTQ+ adults and adolescents, and individuals in faith/religion transitions. Professional service experience has included contributions to local, regional, and national organizations and boards, as well as expert witness testimony in criminal cases involving sexual violence.
